Greece has once again earned international recognition, this time from the German travel market, securing the title of “Most Hospitable Country in the World” at the Travelbook Awards 2025, hosted by Axel Springer’s leading online travel magazine, Travelbook.

As Germany’s largest travel platform, Travelbook inspires millions of readers each year, highlighting the world’s best destinations and travel experiences. The awards are based on expert curation and public voting, with over 150,000 participants this year selecting their favorite destinations for 2026.

Greece proudly claimed first place with 28% of the votes, ahead of New Zealand (24%), Sri Lanka (23%), Costa Rica (17%), and South Africa (9%)—further confirming its status as one of the world’s most beloved travel destinations.
