Tip of the day 10/9/2022 – Visit Hydra island 672 446 Cloudkeys

Hydra island is one of the closest islands to Athens, only 1h30 from  Piraeus port, and it is mostly known as the island without cars, only donkeys! Apart from that which is a good reason to visit this island, these days there is an interesting exhibition with the title Anime/Souls by the Albertina Academy’s artistic team with works by artists, teachers and students from this great Italian art school in cooperation with the Art Station of the Athens School of Fine Arts. The exhibition will be open to the public from today, Saturday (10/9) to 21/9.

The Albertina Academy presents artistic proposals by professors Salvo Bitonti, Roberta Fanti, Stefano W. Pasquini, Alex Pinna, Laura Valle and students Giuseppe Gallace, Vahid Rastgou, Arianna Scubla, Andrea Stefanelli and Alice Wunderle, who are able to represent with their work the Academy’s diverse educational offer which is reinforced by the postmodern dimension of technology and spectacle. These characteristics lead to a climate of generalised stylistic eclecticism, with the main points of interest being the reinterpretation of conceptual and pop expressions, painting and sculpture, and a significant opening up to the use of photography, video and digital technologies, capable of building a bridge between past and present, tradition and innovation, looking towards the future.
