The awarded travel blogger Where life is Great as the most influential talent on the web, chooses 11 places to visit in  2025, and Naxos is among them in the first place.

1. Naxos, Greece – The Island of Golden Beaches & Slow, Soulful Living

Let’s start with the place I’m personally obsessed with for 2026: Naxos.  Out of all the places I’ve visited in 2025, Naxos is the one that quietly slipped into my heart and has absolutely refused to leave. If you dream of Greece but want something calmer, more authentic, and far less chaotic than Zakynthos, Santorini or Mykonos, this is the Cycladic island you’ve been looking for. Naxos is everything you wish a summer on a Greek island would be – long, golden sandy beaches that seem to stretch forever… clear turquoise water, tiny white washed villages tucked into the mountains and tavernas where the food is so good it makes you emotional (I’m not exaggerating – I had one bite of Naxian cheese and immediately started planning my return). And traveling there with Max, my 2-year-old baby boy made it even more special. There’s something about Greece that just works for families – the locals adore children, restaurants never make you feel rushed or unwelcome, and the beaches are shallow and calm enough for toddlers to splash safely. Watching my son toddle into the warm water at Agios Prokopios, chasing tiny fish and squealing every time a wave touched his feet, is a memory I’ll keep forever. We spent slow mornings wandering through Halki, sipping freddo cappuccino while my baby boy waved at every cat we walked past.  Afternoons meant fresh seafood by the beach (the grilled octopus in Naxos Town… unreal), perfectly crispy calamari, creamy tzatziki, and melt-in-your-mouth lamb – which honestly deserves its own fan club. And evenings? Sunset dinners with the sound of the sea, baby asleep in his stroller while we shared one more plate of saganaki because holiday calories simply don’t count. Naxos has that rare, perfect balance: effortlessly beautiful but never pretentious; full of charm but never exhausting; luxurious in the way that really matters – space, nature, peace, good food, and good energy. It’s the kind of island you go to once… and then spend the next year convincing everyone you know to go too

Why Naxos is #1 on my list in 2026:

Endless sandy beaches like Plaka & Agios Prokopios & no crowds
Authentic white villages like Halki, Filoti & Apiranthos
Insanely good local cuisine (Naxian cheese → life-changing)
Perfect for slow travel, couples, and families
This is the island you leave thinking, maybe I should move here.
