Tip of the day 15/7/2022 – About Greek beers

As you probably already noticed if you are in Greece for some days, the most usual beer which you could meet in bars and restaurants is FIX Beer which was the oldest beer brand in Greece. Until 1965 it was the only greek beer. On 1965, the Greek government abolishes the beer monopoly in Greece that FIX has had since 1864.

Fortunately, today Greeks have more options to choose which beer to drink and apart from FIX, Alfa, Mythos, Amstel etc which are known internatiolly, in some shops you could discover some local beers from small producers like Septem from Evoia Island or Nisos from Tinos Island which are really good beers.
