Every year, the feast day of St. Patrick is celebrated with great splendour by the Irish wherever they live. The 17th of March is not only a religious holiday. It has a strong secular content, as it is also celebrated by the Irish as a national holiday. The predominant colour is green and the clover has its place of honour.
