Tip of the day 21/3/2022 – TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022: Congrats to Crete!

The Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards announced their annual lists of the top destinations for 2022, with several places in Greece winning high positions in different categories.

Crete, the biggest Greek island, that Greeks used to say that “Crete is not even an island, but another whole country” was ranked second in the list of the most popular destinations in Europe for the current year, while in the global list,  ranked in fifth place. In the list of European destinations, Athens and Corfu are also placed in the 14th position the first one and 16th the second one.

It is worth noting that the criteria for the promotion of these destinations each year are the following: the quality and quantity of reviews that have been uploaded for each destination separately in the period from November 1, 2020 to October 31, 2021.

So, if you now in mood to plan a trip to Crete, you have to check also this list with some Athenian restaurants with local cretan recipes and when you arrive there you will be much prepared for what you are eating:
