The 20th Comicdom CON Athens, Greece’s largest international comics festival returns, for its 19th edition, on May 15, 16 and 16 and it will take place in the Technopolis City of Athens.

The Great Comics Festival Turns 20! Athens’ largest and longest-running international festival dedicated to the art of comics, illustration, and animation returns for a historic anniversary celebration! On May 15, 16, and 17, 2026, Technopolis City of Athens will transform into the ultimate comic experience, with free admission to all events!

🎨 Exhibitions (International & Greek)
With our digital exhibitions permanently hosted on comics-museum.gr, the in-person exhibitions of 2026 at Technopolis celebrate the 20th anniversary of Comicdom CON Athens with works by international and domestic creators. This year’s program includes a major retrospective exhibition honoring the featured artist, Antonis Vavagiannis.

✍️ Artists Alley (200+ Creators)
The heart of the festival beats at Artists Alley! Established artists, rising talents, and first-time self-publishers present their new works.
Important: The Festival actively supports creators in the face of today’s challenges by maintaining the rule prohibiting the participation of works created by Artificial Intelligence (A.I.).

🛍️ Bazaar & Publications
More than 60 publishing companies and specialty stores await you with all the latest releases, rare collectibles, and merchandise for every taste and budget

🌍 International Guests & Agora
Comicdom CON Athens 2026 welcomes prominent creators and representatives from the international scene, including veteran David Lloyd, co-creator of the iconic *V for Vendetta*.
At the same time, through the Agora initiative, Greek creators have the opportunity to promote their work to international publishing houses and animation production companies abroad.

🎭 Cosplay Contest
The hugely popular Comicdom Cosplay contest, a qualifier for the pan-European Europa Cosplay Cup, returns for yet another spectacular event

🎬 Screenings & Animation
In collaboration with the Animasyros and TAF festivals, we present selected programs of short animated films, as well as a nationwide premiere of a documentary about an iconic creator of the Ninth Art.

📚 Side Events
– Workshops & Masterclasses: Learn techniques from leading Greek and international artists.
– Sketch Event: Creators draw live in front of the audience, and their works are raffled off to lucky attendees.
– Children’s Program: Specially designed workshops and activities for young comic book fans.
– Greek Comics Awards: The annual celebration of the domestic scene in collaboration with the Hellenic Comics Academy.

🏆 Honored Artist 2026: Antonis Vavagiannis
This year, on our 20th anniversary, we honor Antonis Vavagiannis. The multi-talented creator, known for the legendary “Kourafelkythra,” has managed to create his own unique universe of humor that is beloved like few others in Greece.
