The 13th Athens Open Air Film Festival invites you to a celebration of music and cinema on Friday 23 June at Kolonou Theatreat 20.30.

The 13th Athens Open Air Film Festival starts its journey today with the beloved film of Giuseppe Tornatore, the Oscar-winning cinematic love-letter “Cinema Paradiso” and a surprise music concert in collaboration with the educational music program of social inclusion El Sistema Greece!

On Friday 23 June, at the Kolonou open-air Theatre, we will enjoy the concert of the 50-member El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra (the members of the orchestra are children and young people aged 11 to 26) which will present live the pieces created in the framework of the project “B-ME: Blending Melodies: bridging cultural identities”, where 15 composers with 15 musicians from refugee or immigrant backgrounds co-created original musical compositions with the aim of bridging different cultural identities. The impressive concert will be followed by a screening of the Oscar-winning and enduringly popular film NUOVO CINEMA PARADISO by Giuseppe Tornatore.

There is a free entrance at the event so be there early enough to find your seat.
