Nikolaos Gizis, the famous Greek painter who born in 1842 died like today on 1901. It is a good chance to learn more about him visiting the impressive new building of National Gallery and its permanent exhibition where you will find quite enough of his artwork. Plan your visit here the next days (today it’s closed) and do not forget after the visit to have a walk in Ilisia area and Mavili Square to relax and eat in one of the beautiful cafes and restaurants that located close to the Gallery.
