Tip of the day – BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour ’25 ATHENS

For the second consecutive year, the largest and one of the most recognized outdoor film festivals in the world, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival – is coming to Greece. Every year, after being held in Banff, Canada, the finalists’ films embark on a world tour. With stops planned in nearly 600 communities and more than 40 countries around the world, the Banff World Tour celebrates achievements in unique storytelling, filmmaking and outdoor activities around the world!

In 2025, Greece will once again become part of this tour, as one evening of great cinematic interest – April 27, in Athens, Greece, will screen 8 films, showcasing stories from around the world and bringing the mountain spirit to the big screen. The event will take place at Village Cinemas at VILLAGE shopping & more, 228 Thebes & Parnassos, St. I. Rentis, 18233. Screenings start at 7:00 pm.

The festival program is a colourful combination of adventures in nature, encounters with unknown cultures, analysis of contemporary environmental problems and favourite outdoor sports! Skiing, biking, rock climbing, traveling to incredible places – these are just a few of the things that await viewers during the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival WT.
