Whisky Live Athens: The largest whisky exhibition in the world lands at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens, on 8-9 March. A two-day event full of Whisky and Gin, comes to change the Greek market. Opening hours 13.00-22.00

Whisky doesn’t need to be rushed and stressed. It wants you to be relaxed, bring the glass close to your nose and discover its aromas slowly and steadily. Whenever you’re ready, take a full sip in your mouth without swallowing it immediately. Let it sit for a few seconds until the glands are activated and thus you can feel every taste of the uisge beatha, as the whisky is called in the Celtic Scottish language, meaning “the water of life”. Whisky is not a ‘fast drink’. It is a pleasure.
More than 250 rare & special whiskies from Scotland, Ireland & America, and a few more “gems” from around the world are offered in a whisky tasting event for all initiates to this golden “king” of spirits. At Whisky Live we will taste whiskies from small producers with special bottlings, who only produce a few and fine bottles, but also the most special and limited edition whiskies from well-known giants, while for gin lovers we will find a Gin Garden with special gin labels offered for tasting

On 8 & 9 March, the pleasure will reach the top at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens, with the largest international whisky event, Whisky Live. Whisky Live, which currently takes place in more than 30 cities worldwide, started in Paris and London in 2000 and is considered the largest and longest-running whisky event in the world. Of course there will be a liquer shop from Cava Nektar, where you will be able to buy the labels you are tasting as well as premium bottlings at special prices, cocktail street, where excellent mixologists will prepare both well-known and beloved cocktails and a street food corner with delicious delicacies to accompany your drink. As last year, tickets are divided into two categories: Simple and VIP. In the simple tickets the visitor has the opportunity to taste all the labels that are in the whisky live area, to browse the gins, while in the VIP tickets the visitor has the opportunity to be in the VIP lounge for 1:30 hour and taste some even more limited labels of the most special whisky labels worth 120 € and more. Closing a specific hour for tasting more expensive whisky labels.
